The Podhale group of the Mountain Voluntary Rescue Service (GOPR) received a DJI Matrice 30T drone from CISCO Kraków. The equipment received will certainly come in handy during the unit’s rescue operations. Thanks to its high mobility and cameras, it also enables very effective search actions. GOPR received the drone on 10 March.
The DJI Matrice 30T was equipped with three cameras, including a thermal imaging camera. The craft’s flight time exceeds 40 minutes and the maximum altitude is as high as 7,000 metres. The highest possible speed reached by the drone is 23 m/s. All this is protected from the negative effects of external factors, the Matrice 30T meets the IP 55 standard, which in practice means almost full dust-proof and full waterproofing of the device, in addition to the temperature range in which the aircraft can operate ranges from +50 to -20 °C.
UAVs are already playing a huge role in saving lives, especially in hard-to-reach areas, as you can read about on our website [link: https://prawodronow.pl/en/topr-used-drone-in-rescue-operation]. The Matrice 30T drone will certainly come in handy for the Podhale GOPR group and contribute to increased safety in the Polish mountains.
