Three talented students from the Academic Gymnasium of the Silesian Technical University Rybnik – Marek Gonij, Filip Jurczyk, Tomasz Szczotok and Kamil Turek – have qualified for the final of the international competition “Solve for Tommorov.”

The company, which is mainly organized by Samsung, aims to find new innovative technological solutions to improve the quality of life. The competition is divided into three categories: Safety, Health and Climate. In order to qualify for the next phases of the competition, the organizer requires the creation of projects according to the “Design Thinking” method, in which the future user is at the center of attention. One of the partners supporting the project is the fishing company Hosteresi.

The idea of the three high school students is to develop suitable facilities on board an unmanned aircraft to allow the planting of vegetation in inaccessible areas. The entire project of the students was preceded by a prior consultation with professionals and residents of Rybnik.

The website is operated as part of the programme of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science – Social Responsibility of Science.

The project is carried out by Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.
