The Polish Armed Forces have received another delivery of Turkish Bayraktar TB2 drones. The drones are designed for surveillance, patrol and combat missions. The delivery of the drones is being made under a contract signed in May 2021 for the delivery of four sets, comprising drones (six in each set), control stations, simulators, spare parts and missiles. The value of the entire order is $270 million.
“More Bayraktars have been delivered to the Polish Army. The drones’ verification tests, which were conducted at the 12th Unmanned Aircraft Base in Mirosławiec, have just been successfully completed. The first set was delivered in October 2022.” – Minister of Defence Mariusz Blaszczak announced on Twitter.
