ElectroMobility Poland has signed an annex to the 2021 investment agreement with the State Treasury. Under the agreement, the company will receive an additional PLN 250 million for the development of the Polish electric car project, Izera. The previous funding was PLN 250 million, so it has been doubled and a total of PLN 500 million will be allocated for the development of the electric car from the State Budget.

The additional funds are to be used for works related to the preparation of the car’s production. Above all, it is about adapting the car factory to be built in Jaworzyna to the Geely platform on which the Izera is being built. The Chinese platform is a versatile and modern solution; the Polish manufacturer plans to build the Izera on it in three variants: SUV, hatchback and station wagon.

The funds will also be used to update the appearance of the Izera. Design trends have changed since the prototype was presented. The choice of platform has also necessitated a redesign of the car’s exterior and interior. The design changes, aim to match the body to the Geely platform.
