The fast-growing Swedish company Everdrone has officially entered a partnership with Copehagen Emergency Medical Services. The agreement relates to the use of a technology that has been working excellently in Stockholm for a number of years, namely to build unmanned aerial vehicles to transport rescue equipment to the scene of the accident. The process is progressing rapidly and, thanks to the use of traffic-free airspace, the drone is able to reach the site in a shorter time than ground vehicles would. This has advantages, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

Daniel Blecher, Head of Customer Service at Everdrone, says the company’s systems can reach up to 340,000 people. In cooperation with the Danish authorities, 110,000 inhabitants of the Nordjylland region will soon be covered by the Everdrone system.

“The launch of the project took a little longer than expected, but we have learned a lot to overcome the challenges of operating in high-frequency airspace and to work with the first rescue services and national aviation authorities outside Sweden. We have gathered a lot of useful knowledge that will help us to build new partnerships abroad”, says Blecher.

Two years have passed since the beginning of the cooperation between Denmark and Everdrone. The impact of these measures is becoming more pronounced every year, and according to Danish statistics, the survival rate of patients with cardiac arrest has increased.

Everdrone focuses on manufacturing digital systems for unmanned aerial vehicles designed for the health and rescue service. One of the most interesting solutions to pay attention to are the aircraft mentioned, which transport defibrillators, among other things.

The project is carried out by Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw.

Project name: Law of new technologies – drones, electromobility. Innovation, development, security.

The state-funded project was accepted for funding in the context of a competition launched by the Minister of Education and Science on 8 March 2021 as part of the “Social Responsibility of Science” programme.

Value of aid: PLN 235,087,00. Total cost of the project: PLN 265.087,00

The aim of the project is to promote scientific research in the field of the law of new technologies by disseminating knowledge of the legislation on unmanned aerial vehicles – drones – in particular their operation, design, the obligations of operators and pilots, the obligations of public actors in the field of electromobility and the support mechanisms for users.
