Polish national parks will receive a subsidy for the purchase of electric cars and charging stations. The subsidies are to come from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, as part of the “Elektro Parki” program, implemented in 2022-2023, and will amount to PLN 16 million in total. This is to translate into the purchase of 75 cars and 45 charging stations. It is worth noting that the charging stations that will be built as part of the project are to be open to the public, to enable convenient use of the park by drivers of electric vehicles. The action is aimed at caring for the natural environment and promoting electromobility.
– The natural resources of national parks are an important element of the protection of natural heritage in Poland, which is why we must try to reduce the emission of harmful compounds in these areas – said Sławomir Mazurek, vice-president of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
