The Indian government is increasingly betting on the development of the drone industry. The industry can count on special support, both in terms of assembly and production of components for unmanned aerial vehicles.

The ban on the import of drones introduced in February this year is to contribute to this, the areas excluded from the ban are only drones for military or research and development purposes. In this way, the government wants to stimulate the economy in this area and create favorable conditions for its development.

“Drones can have a significant impact on job creation and economic growth due to their versatility and ease of use, especially in remote areas of India,” Amber Dubey, former secretary at the Ministry of Civil Aviation, told the BBC.

India, with its huge human resources, as well as a tough policy focused on the development of innovation, can become one of the main players in the drone market in a few years and significantly contribute to the development of this industry.
