Paweł Laszczak, a 19-year-old from Małopolska, made it to the Drone Racing League – the most prestigious drone racing series organised in the United States. The young racer trained for a long time to get to the top; his passion started as early as primary school. The Pole’s drone reaches a speed of 200 km/h, reaching it within a second. It is controlled using FPV goggles.

“At first it is quite a strange feeling, because you see from a completely different perspective. But that’s what made me know straight away that I wanted to do it,” – Paweł Laszczak reports.

With 12 competitors from all over the world taking part in the DRL, it is certainly a great honour for a young Pole to qualify for the competition. The competition is professional in nature and consists of 14 races held in football and baseball stadiums.

The website is operated as part of the programme of the Polish Ministry of Education and Science – Social Responsibility of Science.
