The ban is to apply throughout the European Union after 2035. An exception to the ban &#8211; negotiated by the Germans &#8211; is made for cars powered by ecological fuels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is worth noting that the ban only applies to the registration of new cars; those registered earlier will be able to remain on the market.
